Experience in collaborating or following technology standards (3GPP, small cell forum. IETF, ITU etc.); and possessing relevant industry ties and networks
Experienced in SON and network automation
Experienced in Self-Optimizing Networks (SON)
Define the architecture for SON; the architectural vision is to encompass across RAN, EPC, Transport, IP networks, and also interface with the OSS /operations
Expert in technology and architecture in one of the areas of RAN, EPC, Transport or IP; preferably 3GPP RAN/EPC standards.
Worked on R&D and testing of telecommunication products, and gained sound fundamentals on the complexity of product development w.r.t. hardware design, software/algorithm development, and system architecture
Highly capable to lead Proof-of-Concept (PoC) evaluations and provide recommendations for technology adoption and selecting among solutions
Provide strategic direction into choosing the technology, architecture and evaluation of solution providers by considering both technology, solution/product ecosystem and business needs/goals
Sound knowledge of Heterogeneous Network in the RAN the requirements for small cells to complement macro base station coverage/capacity targets
Knowledge of cutting edge as well as evolving technologies influencing the telecommunications industry.
Strong fundamentals on the understanding of the role of smart algorithms and the need for automation to enable self-organizing and Self-Optimizing Networks (SON)
Ability to take strategic decisions in choosing technology solutions and architectural options by considering the advantages, challenges, and defining opportunities of each of the possible options
Understanding of solution ecosystems challenges and opportunities; and business implications of the possible strategic options to select and deploy the solution
