The Project Director will be required to lead multi-discipline teams, in the successful delivery of large projects. Reports to the divisional management.
Closing the deals by ensuring right contractual and commercial terms through risk and opportunity assessment
Initiate the project by developing project plan of work and establishing a risk management framework.
Planning the project in terms of programme development, resource planning, scope of work management, financial planning and budgeting
Monitoring the performance of the project using monthly project reviews; risk management; financial management; ensuring compliance to quality, safety and health guidelines; and communication with the client for change management.
Closing the project by ensuring that the customer expectation are met; close out communication with the client in place; liabilities are controlled; archiving done properly.
Review the performance of the project managers and undertake any competency building actions as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Post graduate Degree in a civil engineering, preferably structural engineering
7- 10 years of experience in the project and/or programme management of large infrastructure capital programmes
Good experience and working knowledge of project controls, such as scheduling, risk management, cost control, change control, contract management, quality and reporting
Ability to manage integrated multi-disciplinary teams
Strong track record of ensuring project/programme performance and delivery
Excellent communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong client and stakeholder relationship building skills
Effective communication with clients, project team and business manager.
