Job Description

Responsibilities and Results:
Represent KNH in India towards partner organizations and churches in all programmatic matters
Head the monitoring and program work of KNH India
Support the Country Head in the implementation of the strategic plans for India and carry out tasks according to the operational plans
Lead the growth and development of programs supported by KNH in India.
Networking with key stakeholders relevant to KNH work in India
Monitoring of KNH supported projects in India
Facilitate capacity building support to KNH partners in India
Reporting to KNH Germany according to agreed formats and schedules
Identify potential new partners and projects for KNH in India in line with the country strategy paper and operational plan
Provide input for the development of SOPs especially concerning the interface between KNH in India and KNH Germany
Identify local sources of support for KNHs work in India
Budget the work of KNH in India and report financially against the approved budget
Special roles and responsibilities for this position will also include compliance with
The security plan for KNH in India
The disaster management concept for KNH in India
The child protection policy of KNH
The anti-corruption codex of KNH
Any additional individual tasks and duties that may be delegated to team members in line with their job descriptions.

Note:
The roles and responsibilities outlined above are not meant to be an exhaustive list of tasks. The need for flexibility is required and the job holder is expected to carry out any other related duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Must Haves:
A minimum Master's Degree in development or management related subject with a minimum of 10 years of total professional experience in development-related work with a focus on children.
Proven ability in straddling multiple day to day roles that include timely project delivery, stakeholder relationship management, quality assurance, team building and thought leadership.
Skills in building, strengthening and sustaining strategic partnerships with partners and stakeholders
Sound and inclusive understanding and experience of the child rights approach to development.
Ability to represent the organization across international bodies, government, and donors.
Extensive experience of working with international development organizations in key management positions.
High levels of computer proficiency.
