The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for leading, managing and directing all of the product marketing related activities within their business and/or product(s).
Honeywell Connected Home is focused on DIY solutions around safety, security, well being at home- leveraging connectivity, wireless devices.
Specifically he/she must:-
Understand Consumer Needs around Connected devices at home. Design OVOC; consumer segmentation research to understand value elements critical to end users; define product solutions and value propositions for different segments.
Develop and manage product Roadmap of Connected Home Products. DIY Video would be the focus category. Develop E4E products based on unique India needs, besides mapping global Connected Home portfolio to India needs.
Use the consumer insight to develop new product use cases, new features for ensuring increased customer usage and retention on subscription based offerings.
Create metrics and monitor Connected Home app performance in Indian environment understand consumer interface with both the hardware and software app and close loop on app improvements sought by the consumer.
Understand and manage products life cycles, profitability, demand planning, NPI ideation and process management. Manage product development process with HTS in coordination with the OEM
Managing supplier relationship with OEM, including product assortment, pricing negotiations, warranty, managing product development process with Vendor. Managing Product (hardware quality ) rejects-defects/swaps ( Dead on Arrival cases, Warranty)
Strategy & Planning
Promote strong market orientation and influence strategy formulation and investment decisions
Conduct Competitive analysis for DIY Video product line, in coordination with APAC/Global marketing teams.
Benchmark Competition offerings in terms of Technology, Features & Value Propositions. Track industry developments including traditional security, safety players, consumer electronics, and start-ups
Customer Relationship Management
Communicate the value of the offering in consumer centric terms to cause customer to choose Honeywell offerings based on value delivered
Disseminate Domain Knowledge & expertise in teams:
Own & drive product knowledge absorption in (Channel Partner/Vendor/ISDs ) Training, sales tools and execution of the same on ground
Communicate with sales team on product & competitive tactics, trade programs.
Prepare sales tools like vertical and segment-specific collaterals, Sales playbooks etc.
Prior experience in product management in a consumer technology/consumer electronics product category.
Prior experience of a New Product Introduction management a big positive.
5+ years of Product Marketing experience in a B2C company ideally from Consumer Electronics, Consumer Appliances background.
Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, market research and planning.
Ability to manage short lifecycle products.
Ability to work effectively with senior-level executives and manage cross functional internal customer relationships. High levels of influencing skills to drive decision making.
Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
Ability to work in an ambiguous environment, start up experience preferred.
Strong program management skills.
Top tier MBA with technical background preferred.
Possess strong Office Automation Prod knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
