Key Objective of the Job :
- Conceptualize Innovate, Develop and Drive Tractor and allied Products.
- Research and develop a repository of knowledge of the Tractor markets - nuances, products, economics, practices, etc.
- Create innovative technology driven business models/ products which will enable cost effective, process driven, profitable, and sustainable business.
- Travel extensively to remote rural areas so as to understand and incorporate state wise nuances into product and IT development.
- Prepare business related policies such as pricing, payouts etc in alignment to market realities and internal profitability targets.
- Liaison with all external stakeholders like manufacturers/ regulators/ credit bureaus, etc
- Act as a nodal point for the business to all internal stake holders
- Managing Tractor business portfolio ensuring overall profitability by cross selling other Asset products of organization.
- Tie-ups with Tractor manufacturers for co-branding activities and subvention schemes roll outs.
- Knowledge of Tractor markets and products offering as per seasonality of market with thorough knowledge of Regulatory guidelines governing business.
- Comprehensive and Proactive management of healthy portfolio, by optimizing allocation of capital to profitable business products and put controls to deliver value based growth.
Major Deliverables :
- Roll out - market relevant and innovative products within acceptable turnaround times.
- Publish various reports related to Tractor industry to enable better understanding of the sector.
- Customize/ co-develop/ partner with IT partners and develop robust IT systems within short span of time
- Value add in various processes to ensure that the - cost to income ratio- is within targeted levels
- Release monthly product related matrices timely and vendor payments released on time without recon
- Facilitate sourcing teams by creating schemes and other such enablers to ensure both top and bottom line targets are met
- Meet all cross sell and fee based income streams as per targets
- Travel extensively across locations to get an Understanding of ground realities before formulating product and business plans.
Specialized job competencies :
- Exposure to Tractor Industry.
- Thorough knowledge of Tractor finance offerings and proven track record with related job knowledge in handling the same objectives as mentioned above.
- Sound Analytical skills to develop new product strategies based on inferences from Internal data of Organization and market scenario for Tractor Business.
- Must have good contacts with Business players seasoned in the Industry and be proactive to implement best practices to be at Par in the industry.
- Thorough knowledge of rural customers Income sources and their pattern of expenditure with sound knowledge of Crop economics and the seasonality of income.
- Thorough Understanding of Land documents like 7/12 / Khasra / Khatauni / Adangal / Patta passbook.
- Understanding of Income opportunities from Agri Allied activities like dairy, poultry, fishery, plantations etc.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication to coordinate with Sales, Credit, Risk, Operations, Legal and finance teams to drive the profitability of Business.
- Knowledge of RBI guidelines determining the scope and Mandates of Tractor Business.
Educational Qualification :
- Preferably Post graduate in Agri. / MBA or Graduate with sound knowledge of Tractor Finance
Desired Experience : 8-10 years in Tractor/Rural markets
Other desired attributes :
- Preferably having exposure in two of the four regions (North/ South/ West/ East)
- Ready to travel extensively and work closely with the field teams
- Excellent written and Verbal communication skills. More importantly ability to articulate self effectively
