Hands on Manager for complete development, customization and delivery for its Digital and Analog based IPs and SOCs. These SOCs integrate various internal complex Digital logic, Analog blocks like PHY, ADC/DAC as well as high end controllers like PCIe, SATA, USB and provide unique, cutting edge IP/SOC solution in the market
The Manager reports into India Design center head and works with US/Canada counterparts and teams to design integrate and verify complex SOC/IP logic. This role directly brings visibility to revenue generation of business group. Also involves interaction with customers as well as customization of various IPs/SOCs for very high end niche customers. The cutting edge work is done in latest technology nodes like 28 to 14nm processes
Responsible for complete planning, execution and delivery of full Design/Verification (pre-silicon) and later some customer support to ensure accurate tuning of performance and goals of customer SOCs/designs
Key Tasks involves project definition, organizing project structure, execution and reporting of project progress on regular basis.
Delegate tasks to all direct reports and coach/mentor their career development.
Participate in project planning (deep understanding of requirements, detailed schedules, resource allocation, and risk analysis).
Maintain, closely track IP development and SoC tape out schedules and strictly committed to deliver on time
Work closely with other functional teams including architecture, verification, validation, Analog and PD to ensure delivery of high quality end product
Develop and maintain design metrics that drive the team toward high but attainable common goals.
Contribute to methodology and process changes to consistently improve development quality and efficiency.
Contribute to enhance reusable methodology and flows.
Participate in 3rd party IP evaluation and selection process.
Report project status and metrics to SoC team and the management.
Communicate clearly the plans and goals of the organization to the team to keep them well-informed and connected
Identify and arrange appropriate training (EDA tools, spec, methodology) for the team to keep them up to date
Strong collaboration with SOC leaders from other geography
Retain the key talent and attract top talent from the industry
Experience and Qualification:
BE/BTech or MTech. In Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10+ Years of relevant SOC verification or IP verification and design experience, including lead/management positions.
Experience with IP design, Analog interfacing and verification. Calibration and adaptation requirements for high end designs
Experience of SOC designs with embedded processor cores and their integration with other system components including memory subsystems and peripherals.
Familiar with processor instruction sets and how low level driver software integrates into SOC architecture.
Familiar with HDL languages, simulation tools and test bench design, low level assembler languages and C, or C++, scripting languages.
PCIE or DDR or USB or SATA or Networking protocols work experience
DSP experience is a plus
UVM, System Verilog
Formal verification and high level languages.
Leadership of professional engineering teams responsible for engineering activities.

Demonstrated problem solving skills coupled with attention to detail and enthusiasm for debugging and verification based on a right first time approach.
