Peoplesoft Lead Consultant - Chennai Location
8.5+ years experience of development on PeopleSoft
HRMS including at least v9.1.
Experience of a full implementation
Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Server
Extensive experience of PeopleTools (Application
Designer, Data Mover), SQR, Application Engine and component interface.
Thorough understanding of the PeopleSoft architecture.
Thorough understanding of the PeopleSoft security model.
Experience of tools and application upgrades.
Data conversion methods.
Experience of working in offshored development team(s).
Good communication and planning skills

Roles and responsibilities:
Support and enhancement of existing PeopleSoft HRMS
Assist the Manager in the formulation of a PeopleSoft
Ensuring adherence to and the continual refinement of
Provide technical and architectural guidance.
Take ownership of the full development life-cycle as
described by the Manager.
Responsible for managing and take active participation
in the development of PeopleSoft modules (components, pages, reports, queries, and interfaces), error resolution, and 3rd level support. Custom reports using SQR and / or XML-Publisher, process definitions, data conversion programs, and outbound interface programs using Application Engine.
Formulate a process to unit test and debug all programs
and objects developed before handover thereby ensuring minimum bugs/issues in the delivery. Quality of delivery should be well maintained.
Support data cleansing efforts by documenting and
providing HR users team with information on data issues and inconsistencies
Perform configuration testing as and when necessary.
Bridge functional and technical teams ensuring that
technical solutions meet functional requirements.
Provide timescale estimates and cost benefit analysis on
proposed development, along with recommendations for best approach.
