Perform daily payroll department operations
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Administer employee garnishments including setup, reporting, and reconciliation
Provide support to employees and managers with time and attendance system
Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
Process manual checks and supplemental payrolls as needed
Review and audit canceled or stale dated checks
Audit benefit deductions as needed
Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks
Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc)
Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
Investigate and respond to employee payroll related questions
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration desired or equivalent work experience.
4-6 years' experience processing multi-state payroll working with ADP software or similar platform.
Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
Knowledge and experience with ADP software preferred.
Strong work ethic and team player.
