Job Description

Attend to high priority (P1, P2) support requests. Plan shift schedule. Work in Shifts to provide 24x7 support.

Allocation and review of tasks to Junior DBA resources.

Periodic maintenance activities like analysing databases, COLD/HOT/RMAN BACKUP of Databases, Index Re-building , Restoring , Backups.

Maintaining High Availability Environment(RAC) and Maximum Performance and Maximum Availability Systems(using Oracle Dataguard)

Monitoring of existing databases and related parameters like, Table space utilization, CPU utilization, Hard Disk Utilization, Memory utilization and alert log file

Attend user calls and work on assigned activities/issues and maintain the SLA for the activities. Support third party vendor during the weekly/monthly processes.

Creation of database objects, monitoring and managing privileges. Analyze Performance issues and implement tuning corrections.

Comply with defined security and quality processes. Function as first point of contact within the DBA team.

Provide technical guidance, train and mentor junior resources. Communicate with business for issue discussions/clarifications. Publish weekly reports/dashboards for DBA related activities.
