Job Description

Network Consulting L3 Engineer (Nexus Expert) is to be able to provide support on all escalated cases of Nexus switches from Fault Management Team and verify the service impact of Architectural and Network related changes.
Job Requirement:
More than 10 years of experience of fault troubleshooting & configuration especially on Nexus switches (Nexus 7710, 7010, 6001, 5672, 5272,9396 etc.)
Experience with troubleshooting and resolution of IPMPLS related issues on Service provider domain having technologies like MPLS,L3VPN, InterAS L3vPN, L2VPN, Multicast, QoS , Routing protocols, IP unified MPLS solution
Experience in hardware provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong working knowledge of Cisco Swicthes (Nexus 7710, 7010, 6001, 5672, 5272,9396 etc.)
Candidate must have above good communication skills.
Candidate must be able to work independently as well as Team player
Good technical and problem solving skills.
Candidate must have cisco certification CCNA, CCNP & CCIE. CCIE candidate is preferrable.
Job Responsibilities:
Support NOC L1 & L2 resources to resolve critical faults occurred in the network.
Understand, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve IPMPLS/DCN network issues with minimal need to engage escalation resources.
Work closely with Cisco-TAC, partners and Third parties for technical support and troubleshooting to escalated cases
Preparation, presentation and impact analysis on design changes and Network issues.
Preparation of standard method of procedures (MOP) which would be helpful for L1 & L2 resources while working on the network.
Communicate and document the root cause analysis of incidents and escalated issues.
Software management and version tracking of images running across the various Cisco
Deployment of recommended software versions on all the platforms
Proactively implement the changes/work around suggested by TAC/BU to avoid outages in the network.
Maintain records of all known issues & their resolution as a knowledge database.
Assist in improving and creating processes and procedures to improve quality and productivity in team.
Provide regular on job training (OJT) & classroom training to the NOC L1 & L2 resources.
Provide product level training to the field team to improve the field support.
