Responsible for smooth functioning of Neuro. dept. Responsible for taking IPD patients round. Managing & counseling Neuro patients in wards & CCU. Responsible for running Neuro OPD's. Attending Neuro emergencies. Responsible for Neuro Diagnostics
a) To develop a State of the Art Department of Neurology and bring new technology.
b) To provide a comprehensive care to patients.
c) To promote academic and research in the department and to develop training programmes: DNB and Fellowship and other training modules.
d) To help in organizing Ambulatory medical services for patients.
e) To interact at community level with family physicians and patients.
f) Be responsible for diagnosis and treatment of all cases pertaining to your specialty or when requested by other colleagues in different specialties.
g) Make regular Ward rounds as per the procedure of the Hospital and ensure that proper patient care is provided by the staff concerned. Lapses in patient care must be reported promptly to the Director (Medical).
h) Be responsible for declaring a patient seriously ill when the necessity arises and for making an endorsement in the case sheet as well as notifying the Ward In charge / Sister In charge / Medical Superintendent.
i) To endorse the case sheet and the type of diet required.
j) Conduct regular outpatient clinics on respective days and ensure proper out patient care.
k) Attend promptly to acutely ill patients and make arrangements for immediate admission. If, however, beds are not available for such patients, they should be promptly referred to a proper medical centre.
l) Ensure that the general duty doctors maintain patients records correctly and take proper care of the patients.
m) Be responsible for the proper care and use of all special equipment under your care and notify promptly to the Medical Superintendent any defects / loss noticed.
n) Guide general duty doctors and technicians under you in the proper medical techniques and treatment.
o) Be available for all emergency calls and operations, when required.
