Job Description

Windows administrator with experience managing servers in a Datacenter. Support servers running IIS, Apache Tomcat, MSSQL, Clustering, Load balancing, Virtualization, Cloud infrastructure.

Work as part of a global Service Desk team to deliver responsive resolutions, communications, and support services, based on ITSM best practices, to customers and service teams and ultimately drive and improve service on behalf of the business. It will be a challenging environment where you will be required to work on multiple technologies in IT Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:

-To Monitor performance issues on Windows servers & perform health checks.

-Managing & troubleshooting Windows services.

-To Investigate cause of unexpected server crash, service crash and provide RCA as and when required.

-Event logs monitoring, Disk space management.

-OS installation, upgrade ate troubleshooting. OS service pack/patches installation.

-Third party tools installation as per guidelines.

-Technical Support -Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 OS, Windows Cluster servers, Vmware

-Vendor coordination for replacement of faulty hardware.

-Raising, Handling and Resolving Incidents & Work order through Cherwell Software.

-Incident, Problem and Change Management.

-Create and maintain Knowledgebase and central repository for information sharing.

-Knowledge and good understanding of Active Directory Tools and Objects (Policy, Trust, FSMO), DNS, DHCP, Windows Group Policy etc

-Very good understanding and hands on experience of Windows Clusters, RDP Tools: Remote Desktop, Terminal service, ILOM

-Knowledge of Windows Services.

-Working experience of SQL server will be an added advantage.

-Good understanding of VMWare Esx 5.x

-Knowledge of networking fundamentals

-Knowledge of ITIL framework

-Knowledge of hardware monitoring tools is an added advantage

-Good communication skills -ability to communicate activities to a non-technical and technical audience


High level understanding of client server architecture, hosting environments and systems administration

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Technical Degree preferred, but not mandatory

Web Servers - Apache, Tomcat, IIS (in a clustered/load balanced environment)

Database - MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle

Virtualization -AWS, VMware, Hyper-V

Ecommerce -ATG, Magento

Email - Exchange

Storage -NetApp

Load balancers - BigIP F5, LVS

Firewall - iptables, Juniper ISG

Networking - Windows networking, NAT, VPN

Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure
