Job Description

Derivatives Documentation Department

SCB Singapore Documentation hub supports more than 20 regional offices, covering a large array of Derivatives products ranging from Equity Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives, FX Options, Interest Rate Products and Credit Derivatives. With the visions in acquiring new developing markets and pioneering of new evolving products will transform the business into new heights. The department is currently supported by about 80 staff across four separate teams (Structured Derivatives Documentation, Systems and Template Management, Documentation Management and New Initiatives).

Structured Derivatives Documentation desk currently consists of 35 team members from a variety experiences and different cultural backgrounds. With the continuous growth to support an increasingly demanding business within an ever changing environment, this is a dynamic and enthusiastic team thriving for excellence.

Key Candidate Responsibilities

Understand and manage the day to day operations for the various product businesses
Delegate workload across the desk efficiently to yield maximum staff capacity
Second check through outgoing transaction documentation for both vanilla and complex derivatives transactions supporting all global regions produced by the team
Management of production workflow ensuring all trades are issued within the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Develop relationships with the various internal vendors (for example, Middle Office, Front Office, Legal and Customer Services Groups) in ensuring all due diligence is performed in preparation for deal execution to be proceed
Assist in production of various reports to be presented to Senior Managements
Heavy involvement with project initiatives to improve the Documentation platform
Assist manager to develop the growth and development for all the staffs
Cascade and support managements visions to the team members
Management of operational risks within the daily processes
Developing and implementing of innovative solutions, providing value added support to new markets and new products
Continually seeking new opportunities for improvement for personal and professional development within the team and across the bank

Key Candidate Requirements
Experience in drafting ISDA template transactional level documentation and up-to-date awareness and knowledge of current ISDA activities
Ideally have minimum 3 years proven experience in a transaction documentation environment
Prior experience in supervising/ team leading a team
Proven experience in project management
Knowledge of ISDA terminology and definitions to be able to negotiate confirmations independently
Possess strong communication and inter-personal relationship skills
Fluent in English (Spoken and Written)
Excellent PC skills: MS Word, MS Excel, HTML
Attention to detail

Ability to meet tight deadlines
Independent but a good team player
