Assists the SOX Manager in establishing, managing, and directing a comprehensive SOX program, including appropriate approach, audit testing plans, and methodology which
incorporates current regulations and best practices and meets external auditor requirements.
Assessing the reliability of financial information and the systems and operations, including those outsourced that produce this information. Identification of significant processes
which impact internal controls over financial reporting, and the applications that support those processes.
Works closely with all levels of management and business process owners to ensure primary controls are identified, tested, and operating effectively.
Assess existing and/or proposed financial controls and any changes to controls.
Review the testing of both manual and system key controls, necessary and entity-level assessment.
Maintenance of business process documentation regarding internal controls over financial reporting such as process narratives and flow charts as appropriate.
Maintain a repository of all financial controls, including both system (IT) and manual and the applicable COSO/COBIT, financial statement account, and assertion mapping and
Tracking of all control deficiencies for improvement and remediation, including those identified during internal audits and assist in determining the appropriate classification of those deficiencies based
upon the PCAOB standards.
Assist process owners with remediation and focus on continuous improvement.
Participate in system implementations /conversions/ acquisitions which have SOX implications
