Ideal incumbent will be Black belt or Lean certified process improvement champion providing leadership, strategic and technical expertise on various projects. He/She will lead & facilitate projects (individual or teams) that employ Lean/Six Sigma& problem solving methodologies for optimizing the end results. Someone who can facilitate effective change management techniques which will deliver positive business impact like - improved customer service, reliability, productivity and financial performance. Incumbent should be able to carry this forward as ongoing improvement process by facilitating the strategy development and adopting best practices to align the process towards the Business Excellence Model.
Responsible for providing the framework and project management necessary to develop operational excellence.
Responsible for working across cross functional teams in the areas of operational excellence; quality design and deployment and day-to-day business activities.
Collaborate with site business operations team to develop a portfolio of improvement opportunities, prioritize these and ensure successful execution to meet business needs.
Responsible for overseeing both strategic and day to day perspectives of operational activities and business administration for defined functions or locations.
Accountable for leading the transformation from current change processes to adoption of operational excellence.
Accountable for deploying best practices across functions for delivering positive business results.
Responsible for assessing &tracking current status, progress & issues for all sanctioned improvement projects.
Responsible for identifying and sharing best practices that should be implemented.
Look at mentoring trainee Black Belts / Green Belts candidates throughout the company.
Work closely with Head of Quality for the division in collaboration &overall design of quality programs, KPI design & implementation and deploy action plans based on feedback from the customers.
Help in implementing tools and systems that support quality management framework, and design by deploying training programs that build quality.
Own the process improvement task as part of the team and bring about suitable changes.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders including leadership visits regarding progress, issues and plans for resolution for program projects.
Education & Experience required
Post Graduate / Engineering Degree preferably from top institute.
Must possess six sigma certification - Black belt.
Must have prior 5-10 years experience in managing multi-functional Projects, Programs & changeManagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Should have worked as Six Sigma/Lean Black Belt or Quality Champion
Must have experience in working in large / international companies.
Strong and proactive business results-focus, and proven ability to provide insights that increase productivity.
Excellent communication, people management, stakeholders management and leadership skills.
