Job Description

Summary: This shared role requires a highly effective team player who is experienced in working on a diverse process portfolio across multiple financial processes and systems. You will work closely with members of the GFS Management Team, GFS Clients, and PMO/Quality teams to organise the various components needed to meet the transformation & productivity objectives of the GFS organisation.

You will be responsible for:
Develop and drive Finance based IT System/ Data flow/ Testing type projects across Finance, Technology, and other areas. Additionally would be useful to have Transition project management experience.
Apply full range of Project management skills to ensure successful delivery of complex, multi-site, medium to large change projects.
Support Identification, finalization of Scope of work and develop Project Charters to provide win-win solutions to the client.
Preparing the business case and agreeing the same with the stakeholders.
Perform cost and benefit analyses.
Lead in due-diligence/feasibility exercises as applicable.
Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
Tracking projects, project risk management and providing regular updates to the relevant stakeholders.
Interface with Home Locations and help to do effective stakeholder management.
Facilitate Process Improvement Initiatives using the Six Sigma and LEAN methodologies. Apply DMAIC, lean, structured problem solving practices to propose robust solutions to identify new opportunities or to solve complex business issues.
Lead the improvement for the E2E process that can include cross functional teams and/or regions.
Actively lead forums and workshops with Operations, Clients and Process teams to find opportunities to improve the processes.
Facilitate and lead the development of SIPOCs/process maps, IT systems/Data flow mapping recommending process changes resulting in efficiencies.
Performs business analysis, identifies opportunities and/or root causes to drive business improvements that will impact efficiency, effectiveness, quality or compliance.
Drive standardization and strong knowledge of re-use structure (Knowledge Management).
Support in conducting VOC surveys, Client feedback sessions.
Provide mentoring and guidance to Operational teams to enable Project management, business excellence, continuous improvement and innovation.
Guide in the development of SLA/KPI framework and Quality metrics.
Act as the Cultural Change agent to support the GFS value proposition of Quality, Cost Efficiency and Control.
Maintain collaborative relationships with SME (subject matter experts), project team members & management across the organization.
Be a trusted advisor to Service Lines/Business Units
Desired Profile Program/Project management skills.
Experienced in leading and implementing operational and business changes.
Proven track record of financial results from the application of process improvement methodologies, and effective change management.
Highly developed analytical, quantitative and data analysis aptitude.
Skilled in methodologies such as workout, kaizen, Lean, DMAIC, DMADV, ACFC & DFSS.
Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline, preferably Finance (with CA / CPA / ICWA) or MBA, is highly desirable.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification is desirable.
6-7 years (for Manager level) and 8 - 10 years (for AVP Level) relevant experience in Program/Project management, transformation initiatives (e.g. operating model/process architecture design), business process reengineering, quality/process improvement initiatives and process transitions, preferably in the Financial Services industry,
Sound knowledge of the Financial Services industry & Shared Services operating models.
Possesses high degree of comfort in dealing with information technology.
Possesses high degree of comfort working in high paced ambiguous environment.
Very strong MS Office, MS project & Visio skills
Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and methodologies including DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, and Workout tools, problem solving / root cause analysis and process management.
