Support synchronization of business strategies and initiatives to drive positive labor and employee relations in the business group
Implementation of comprehensive labor and employee relations strategies; both unionized and non-unionized to ensure zero down-time due to labor issues
Develop and implement negotiation strategies and manage union contracts and issues
Manage difficult employee relations issues
Design and put systems and processes to regulate contract labor engagement.
Ensure successful contract negotiations and deployment.
Research external trends and settlements to drive best practice processes and policies
Support team in ensuring Labor related Statutory compliance
Ensure Zero excursions on statutory compliance across businesses on labor matters
Manage deployment of disciplinary processes on need basis
Industrial Relations Undertake and drive HR policy implementation in line with corporate policies & initiatives.
Drive high levels of employee engagement.
Work with HR leader to define Employee Engagement strategy in line with Orgs Employee Value Proposition
Evolve pay for performance culture and programs within site
Liaise with regional and global LER Teams to share and learn best practices. Play advisory / intelligence role to management for industry pulse.
Support and lead deployment of companys Positive Employee Relations assessment and leadership training
Recommend alternative courses of action. Develop plans to address specific issues.
Legal compliance, Contractor statutory compliance, Contractor Management,
Organizing employee engagement activities and new initiatives for employee engagement and motivation
Tracking the Attrition Rate, conduct Exit Interview
Facilitate the understanding of Appraisal process to employees for any change in the process.
Full time MBA in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Premier HR Schools with minimum 10 years experience, including exposure to MNC manufacturing industry
Proficiency in local language is must
Self-initiating, independent thinker with proven experience in managing change through influencing skills, both within and outside the organization
Must possess experience of directly working with senior leadership teams on business critical issues
Strong networking and communication skills. High tolerance of ambiguity.
Task-orientation and ability to drive for results in limited timeframes, under conditions of multiple constituents and ambiguity

Exposure to working with unions; sound understanding of statutory framework including resolution of IR issues
Deep understanding of Labor Laws, special emphasis on Maharashtra Labor Laws. Knowledge of statutory and legal machinery in Pune and Mumbai preferred
Exposure to working in a global organization and ability to deal with global stakeholders
Experience in and ability to support organizational change
