To promote freight services in the market and to increase the market share in transactional sales. Responsible for prospecting, gaining new business and developing/retaining existing customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Prepares sales plans and manages the sales cycle effectively
* Prepares prompt and accurate presentations, proposals, and communication exchanges with prospects and customers
* Monitors and archives sales set targets
* Targeting strategic sales leads in order to achieve sales targets with high conversion rate
* Conducts review meetings with stakeholders for own sales opportunities in order to design solutions and build proposals that meet customer requirements and acceptance
* Manages the on-boarding phase for new customer wins to ensure fulfillment of all requirements and smooth start of operations
* Identifies potential competitors and has good market knowledge.
* Any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies
* Bachelors Degree
* 9-- 12 years of experience in the related field,
* Minimum 5 years in a managerial position heading a team.
* Prior experience in the field of Freight Forwarding sales is a must. Good knowledge about freight forwarders and a robust customer network would be an added advantage.
