KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNT-ABILITIES
Build and lead a team of data Solution talent. Define the appropriate skill and experience mix
Create a culture of integrity and compliance
Guide technical career development and build organizational talent
Inspire and sustain technical excellence, high performance and urgency regarding improving current practices
Create and execute on a technical vision around asset and operational data
Create and work towards a data infrastructure strategy
Create a roadmap of implementation/insertion aligned with business and ITT Road maps.
Engage with the business segments and internal stakeholders to capture, store and retrieve data smoothly for further processing
Drive accountability and execution of data programs. Make technology/capability transition a priority.
Comprehend and stay ahead of market and business needs on all aspects of data
Work closely with internal stakeholders associated with IT and broader transformations.
Engage with the external technical and business community to brand and differentiate data handling in the Company.
Participate in technical and recruiting forums and other appropriate events to make Company data and analytics a recognized and preferred choice for top data talent.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors / Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline like Engineering, Statistics, Information Sciences
Minimum 12 years of professional experience in an industry
Prior leadership experience in managing data focused teams
Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
Experience in working with structured and unstructured data
Experience in Big Data
Distributed computing technologies, such as Map Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, etc
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Exposure to data life-cycle and solutions in production
Agile development and deployment
(Desirable) Knowledge of Oilfield terminology and business practices
Ability to work in global distributed setting
Self-driven, Proactive, Systems Thinking
Open to travel abroad and in India
