Job Description:

Skills required: Quantitative and Qualitative research and exposure in Strategy consulting to corporates for Market Entry, Growth, M&A/JV, Corporate Restructuring & Turnaround; Business Development and International Sales; Leading and managing a team Market Insights Developing corporate strategy and growth strategy.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Performing Qualitative and Quantitative account business development support
Analysis of company financial statements
Performing ratio analysis, transaction and valuation analysis
Conducting company and industry research
Review of work performed by other team members
Manage a team of 10-15 people
Measure, monitor and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery
Focus teams on the key priorities while managing several medium-size projects
Ensure smooth service delivery
Ensure that team members deliver quality service as per clients needs and priorities
Partner with internal and external clients to improve processes
Work with project leaders to analyze resource needs and gaps across locations, and devise alternative ways forward
Assign people to projects based on their skills, career goals and clients expectations
Produce assignment budgets and timetables, and manage delivery against them
Provide team members with accurate and useful guidance in technical areas of high risk and complexity
Act as a counselor for team members
Participate in goal setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees
Identify L&D requirements of counselees

Competencies / skills:

Have strong knowledge of accounting, valuation principles and finance
Have knowledge of research databases like CapitalIQ, Mergermarket, One Source, Factiva, Thomson, etc.
Have a sound grasp of MS Excel; a natural interest in working and learning to use it to an advanced level
Have strong skills in analyzing and interpreting financial information
Have strong project management skills
Have proficiency in undertaking research based projects
Have strong interpersonal skills
Have an eye for detail and be able to work under pressure
Have excellent written and spoken English skills, and be able to discuss and reason complex technical issues

Job Specification:

Education & Experience:

MBA/PG Diploma (Fin) with 7-8 years relevant experience of working on merger and acquisitions projects, target and buyer identification, information memorandums, pitch books, DCF and other valuation methods, economy, industry and company research projects, project finance models and research based projects.
