Job Description

Purpose of the job.

Perform high value and high risk medical underwriting himself / herself. Train the team members for high value / high risk underwriting. Manage projects for improvement in underwriting standards.

Job Responsibilities

Evaluation of high value / high risk proposals as per underwriting authority.

- Accomplishment of agreed service deliverables

- Responsible for underwriting services to allocated zone / channels

- To manage underwriting turn around time for all New Business and Revival cases

- To manage the grievances and complaints of internal and external customers.

- To manage underwriting query box to address Sales queries

- Proactively, ensure mechanisms or information cascade to reduce complaints / queries

- Analysis and use of data in planning, implementing and controlling for efficient and effective functioning of the department.

- Organize branch/sales interaction through visits or VC's to communicate the underwriting philosophy and guidelines and solicit feedback.

- Adherence to Turn around time and quality for all underwriting cases

- Meeting productivity targets for self and team.

- Accountable for the completion of the allotted assignment /KRA's for self and team.
