Job Description

The challenge:

The Adobe Digital University Learning Content Manager (LCM) is responsible for aggregating, mining, organizing, and developing a maintenance process for learning content within Adobe for consumption by Adobe internal field employees, Adobe Partners, and Adobe Customers. The LCM will work with many roles in the Worldwide Field Enablement (WWFE) organization and across Adobe to organize, tag, and manage the learning content for automated or manual delivery based on an established set of criteria. The LCM will report to the Manager of the Content Development Team to work closely with instructional designers, curriculum design leads as well as Global and Partner program teams. The LCM will also closely liaison with our corresponding infrastructure team to fully comprehend the business and system requirements for our content delivery and learning experience is intact.

What you'll do:

Gatekeeper of pre-defined terminology/taxonomy of content titles (for consistency across Digital University) and descriptions of published learning content.
Tag all content published for prescribed curriculum for optimum search/sort ability.
Manage content organization/repository -- grouping and hierarchy of content including pre-required curriculum identified
Manage old, expired content engaging in conversation about the need to revise, update, replace or delete.
Manage community-developed content (via a standard ratings system, dates, versions, etc.) to elevate highly rated/useful/timely content or remove offending or poorly developed content after reviewing it with the content owner.
Gatekeeper of content across all audiences to determine gaps in Partner accessibility (pre-requisites, assessment and overall learning experience).
Source content to fill needed gaps (Adobe, 3rd party, community-developed, etc.)
Track and manage Content Architecture Catalog for each solution and maintains current locations and sets/manages expiration date for content.
Works with Partner programs to track live ILT engagements and incorporate into curriculum content catalogs.
Review Partner learning paths and customize content, descriptions, wrappers or methods of tracking as needed for Partner delivery.

What you need to succeed:

7 - 10 years in similar job roles
Content organization and management
Search operator experience
Excel expert, ability to work quickly and accurately with spreadsheets
Experience working with localization companies
Must have: LMS and/or CLMS experience
Experience organizing and managing large datasets
Practical experience designing and developing databases
Owns the process, experience leading meetings to establish the needs of users and stakeholders across the whole organization and incorporating those needs into a plan of action
Proven ability to map out the conceptual design for a planned database
Proven ability to design a system that maps both back-end organization of data, and front-end accessibility for end-users looking for assets in the Digital University
Refining the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model
Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
Building a communications plan and process to ensure technical, applications and operational staff are aware at all times of database integrity and security
Detail-oriented and highly organized person
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Believes consistency, standards and processes are necessary for successful program execution
Can be productive and agile in highly dynamic corporate environment
Ability to develop and use strong organizational framework
Can roll up detail to appropriate summary level
Loves excel spreadsheets and databases
Loves data - Is not easily overwhelmed by data, and does not get lost in detail or lose site of timeline or goals
Puzzle maker - understands how all these objects and modules fit together - making up the Adobe Digital University library across Internal, Partner and Customer audiences
Meets deadlines, adjusts and communicates accommodations of project plan to meet deadline as well as expectations
Self-starter - can see what needs to be done and gets it done
Working knowledge of infrastructure (LMS, portals and websites)
Aware of all Global and Partner programs at high level
Very familiar with all of the various places that content lives within Adobe and for the greater Adobe community
