A Network Lead is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network infrastructure. A Network Engineer performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets Company and user satisfaction. A Network lead also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.
PRIMARYDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing Network team and handling escalation calls, attending customer calls and understanding the requirement and providing the solutions.
Planning and redesigning the network architecture according to business needs and available for support in case of any failure and business needs.
Maintain thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, etc.)
Configure and setup Cisco and checkpoint Firewalls, VPN Device (Cisco ASA) and Security appliances.
Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
Design, setup and configure complex switching environments
Design, setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications
Maintain thorough understanding of Local Area Networking
Configuring and installing client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
Maintaining multi-site network operations.
Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc.to provide technical assistance and support
Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
Any other duties as assigned by management
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation during any outage and breakdown issues.
Daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration
Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required
Current CCNA, CCNP, checkpoint Certification
Understanding of Microsoft servers and workstation Operating system like Windows Server 2003& 2008, windows 7and windows 8 experience a plus
Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support added advantage
Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls
Ability to communicate in understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a small business environment
Availability in response to needs of the customer for installation, maintenance and equipment malfunctions
Hands-on experience implementing and administrating network devices, setting and maintaining policies and rights/security within a Windows Server 2000/2003 environment:
Firewalls Cisco, Checkpoint
Cisco Iron port, Zscaller
Cisco network switches
Wireless Access Points
