Job Description

Job Qualification: B.E/B.Tech (M.E/M.Tech preferred) in the fields of EE/ECE/ MSc degree (Electronics) or equivalent experience. Additionally, a minimum of four years experience in Infotainment domain and product development is required.

Job Description:

Responsible to lead development of infotainment and driver information system. The right candidate will be proactive, with great communication skills, demonstrate attention to detail, have a passion for technology, and an excitement to produce great products.Responsible for owning and leading infotainment projects associated with Mahindra product development activities. Personal development skills in requirements definition, system design, implementation, and testing/debug are essential. Additionally, the ability to plan, tracks, and lead the development of technology and mentor/motivate other engineers plays a critical role.
Participation in planning, requirements analysis, and coordination with other team members, from inside and outside the project group, is critical in this position. The responsibility for the overall success of the project (meeting expected completion with needed quality) will be shared by the Project Lead with any other lead engineers working on the project or on associated projects. Must be comfortable in all phases of the project/product development life cycle.

Technical Skills

Knowledge on Infotainment, Bluetooth, Navigation, USB and other advanced features
Knowledge on Automotive & Automotive electronics
Knowledge on CAN communication & Diagnostics
Develop marketing requirements and specifications
Cultivate and maintain knowledge of how the customer uses Mahindra infotainment, driver information and telematics products.
Define requirements and interface specifications by following necessary and appropriate standard operating procedures, ARAI and other regulations that are necessary for the completion of the product development.
Test and debug systems by evaluating and validating programs/systems and specifications for new and existing Mahindra products.
Ability to document and design complex systems or modules of complex systems.
Planning Skills
Initiate & own project scheduling and planning for project deliverables.
Work to define market requirements.
Estimate time and effort on projects and tasks.
Participate in project planning, estimation, and scheduling, as well as provide input to strategic technical planning.
Leadership Skills
Set goals and evaluate performance of team members.
Ability to foster good communication inside and outside the development team.
Ensure the complete success of all aspects of assigned or associated projects.
Lead system spec development and validation efforts.
Lead and Mentor other project engineers.
Ensure that all project tasks and deliverables from team meet expectation for delivery, conform to the appropriate processes and procedures, and quality.
Lead technical reviews of project deliverables.
Demonstrate ownership and responsibility for system designs.
Assist in the smooth transfer of products to manufacturing.
Find creative solutions from broadly defined problems or directives.
Requirements analysis and generation.
Good written and oral communication skills appropriate for assignment.
Good documentation skills and software process discipline.
Create and test system personally and as part of a team.
Cultivate and maintain knowledge of system hardware/software interaction.
Ensure that all project tasks and deliverables conform to the appropriate processes and procedures.
Hands on experience in developing & tesing Infotainment system
Experience in HMI development
Experience in Hardware development of Infotainment system.
Knowledge on CAN & vehicle Diagnostics
Ability to understand user requirements by communicating with crossfunctional teams as to what the product should do, research and collect data to support this purpose and to help generate the final outcome of the product or system.
Strong Technical Skills in developing technical specification of the product and user acceptance testing
Certifications in Project Management are desirable.
