As a member of our L2 Network Operations team, you will provide post-sales supporting role to a dedicated customer, onsite, located in India. Working in a 24x7x365 shift team environment, you will play a core role towards the high availability of the Sandvine solution deployed at the Customers site. You will use your experience to track and trend the performance of the Sandvine deployment in additional to look for opportunity to seek improvements to optimize the deployment.
As a successful candidate, you will work in a team environment in a 24x7x365 shift rotation, delivering on the following main aspects:
Carry out operational support for configuration & change management for new feature / functionality / Routing /Regulatory requirement/expansion/service /product/POC/testing /integration/IOT.
Provide technical support to teams during change management testing, diagnostics and verification with Third Party Supplier, if necessary.
Perform system backup in accordance documented Backup Processes.
Validate and update deployment documentation to ensure accurate representation of production network
Creation and validation of Method of Procedure (MOP) for each change management activity. Proactively performance impact analysis of NW re-configuration/NW expansion activities & update status to management.
Provide technical support during change management testing, diagnostics and verification.
Provide a Weekly and Monthly Performance Management Report covering an analysis of the performance trend of the Network.
Provide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Report(s).
Support Network performance standards and thresholds in accordance KPIs/SLAs.
Escalate any exceptions in the performance of Network Elements to appropriate SANDVINE L3 Global Technical Support Centre resources.
Support to resolve performance related alarms.
The successful candidate is responsible for timely reactive support. Communication and execution (specifically impeccable follow through) is the key success factor to this role.
Minimum of 6 years experience on DPI with Packet Core.
Degree or diploma from a technical institute with a focus on Computer Systems, Systems Administration, or related discipline.
Hands-on Unix experience (BSD/Linux/Solaris)
Previous experience in an IT Administration or Network Operations setting.
Technical background with a strong understanding of networking (specifically IP related technologies)
Excellent troubleshooting and investigative skills
Good documentation and communication skills are necessary
Positive attitude in stressful situations is required.
Flexibility working rotating weekdays and weekends, evening and over night shifts/on-call is mandatory
Experience in capacity planning and performance trending
Experience with: HP TeMIP,MYCOM OSI
Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and/or operation of network equipment such as Cisco, Juniper or other network hardware manufacturers
Experience with programming and/or scripting, SQL databases, network traffic monitoring, or firewall technologies especially in a Telecom, ISP, or Mobile environment
Salesforce experience (or another ticketing system)
Ability to work independently with remote supervision and guidance.
