Job Description

  • Develop, Customize and Maintain the JIRA Application Interfaces (with other internal applications) and Environment to meet our long term business needs
  • To install and upgrade to latest JIRA software version which will include upgrade of JIRA plug-ins workflow, modifying the plug-ins and work flow to take advantage of new JIRA software version from Atlassian
  • To maintain and provide support for the existing in-house JIRA Application and making sure JIRA Application up-time is very high and find ways to prevent any downtime
  • Modify the existing in-house JIRA Solution for short-term business needs
  • Analyze and evaluate the new business requirements and required JIRA entities and define the most efficient & appropriate solutions
  • Develop and Implement new JIRA workflows / custom plug-ins based on Java and create / update corresponding documentation / user guides
  • Act as the JIRA expert in troubleshooting of critical production problems as required by providing the technical support and resolution to end-users problems (Client and Internal Teams)
  • Monitoring JIRA Support e-mail inbox for any issues and providing the resolution, workaround or code fix to resolve the issue
  • Provide technical resolutions in relation with our home grown Oracle Forms based Internal Tools Application which has very strong interface with JIRA Application. This will include investigation & resolution of issues on technologies used like Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server / Weblogic Server, Webservices, Oracle Forms etc.
  • Review and optimize existing Java source codes
  • To perform unit tests and integration testing before deploying JIRA Application in Production Environment
  • Contribute to improve our internal processes
  • Work in closely with the Project Manager, coordinate with other development and support teams, and interact with end-users
  • Troubleshoot Infrastructure problem related Application / Web Server, Webservices, Databases
  • Work with IT team to get a quick resolution
    • Preferably 7 - 10 years of professional experience in JIRA Plug-In and Java Applications Development
    • An Engineering degree in Computer Science, IT, Software System or equivalent
    • Very good Knowledge of JIRA Development using the JIRA API and JIRA or Market Place Plug-Ins
    • A strong and willing person to learn quickly about existing application and be productive in no-time
    • Strong ability in analyzing the existing plug-in code and modify the same for business needs
    • Strong ability to write new plug-ins for Multifonds JIRA Application
    • Immense hands on experience in maintaining and supporting JIRA Applications including transactions handling, customizations, exceptions handling
    • Strong knowledge of CORE Java and J2EE
    • Good knowledge of JAVA Webservices development and maintaining the same
    • Good Knowledge of Weblogic Server, Apache HTTP Server, IIS and deploying of Web Application
    • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and methodologies
    • Good knowledge in Oracle Database Concepts, PL/SQL
    • Good communicator, meticulous, rigorous, and well organized
    • Strong Team player and always willing to help and support the colleagues and exploring new possibilities
