Job Description


1. The Tech Lead role in the Base) Professional Services team is a challenging technical role. The person will be required to develop a sound knowledge of the Architecture and Design of the Base) suite along with the available customization hooks.
2. The person will be responsible for understanding the Business Solution / Requirements and come up with a Technical solution using the Base) suite
3. The person will own the delivery of the solution including development, stabilization, change requests at very high quality levels and in tight deadlines
4. The person will be required to mentor and guide junior developers, manage their work and ensure timely delivery of the solution


1. Develop deep understanding of the Architecture, Implementation and constraints of the Base))) suite
2. Will be responsible for understanding the Business Requirements provided by the Business Analyst and come up with a Technical Solution Approach.
3. Will be responsible for scheduling the work for the team based on their capabilities.
4. Will be responsible for providing Technical Guidance to team members
5. Will need to communicate with Project Manager and other stakeholders on work status
6. Develop deep understanding of the domain and ensure Technical Solution effectiveness. Will need to provide alternatives, workarounds using any tools, utilities etc. to ensure end Business Objectives are satisfied
7. Develop POCs to reduce errors, automate parts of the process using any existing or new technologies
8. Will be responsible for Code Quality and performance of the system
9. Will need to ensure generic code development that can be reused in the Base))) product suite


1. Excellent understanding of Core Java and J2EE framework
2. Must have prior experience of working on Enterprise Applications
3. Strong exposure to Spring (IOC/MVC), Hibernate, Webservices
4. Experience on any SQL Database (preferably MySQL)
5. Messaging Middleware (ActiveMQ / MQSeries)


1. Experience on Workflow/BPMN tool
2. Exposure to ESB (like Mule / Camel), NoSQL, UML, OOAD and Design Patterns (GOF and J2EE)
3. Worked on any Integration with an ERP like Oracle or SAP
4. Knowledge of Continuous Integration is an added advantage


- BE / B. Tech. / M. Tech
- Preferably the candidate should be SCJP (Sun/Oracle Certified Java Programmer), SCWCD (Sun/Oracle Certified Web Component Developer)
- Proven track record of delivering under pressure
- Motivated self-starter who is committed to customer satisfaction
