Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Engineer with focus on IIS, .NET and Windows technologies to coordinate with global cross-functional teams to identify, prioritizes and facilitates requirements is support of IIS STE projects/initiatives The role requires prior experience with Web based .NET Applications with complex integration with sub-systems. Responsibilities include ensuring flagship clients BE Portal (Web Application) and Partner Apps are highly available and scalable while managing capacity needs to facilitate rapid growth to support aggressive adoption of Portal platform.

Job Description

Working as a technical lead on process / platform re-engineering and optimization efforts. Notable efforts will focus around the rationalization of the current IIS farm and RE-engineering efforts. This will include analysis / assessment activities and setting the technical direction of projects through architecture and methodology with a focus on solutions development and delivery.

Customize and engineer Web technologies to meet the bank's requirements for Web solutions. Examples include engineering builds for IIS Web Server, Windows Application Server and SQL Database.

Manage the end-to-end systems development lifecycle of specific Web solution engineering projects. Help define best practice guidelines for Web solution deployment and usage ensuring all designs meet enterprise requirements for scalability, performance, resiliency, security, and manageability

Work with internal customers in clearly defining and documenting technical and business requirements for Web solution engineering projects and work with project management resources in providing detailed timelines for project deliverables

Provide regular detailed management status reports on engineering projects and activities and deliver detailed documentation (Statements of Work, Technical Designs, User Guides, Test Plans/ Results) for each project / activity

Ensure solutions developed are suited for large scale production deployment and prepare run books for Production Implementation and conduct knowledge sharing sessions with support organization on implementations.

Accountable for planning and project coordination necessary to implement software changes/enhancements impacting the platform vs. customization.

Develop project plans with detailed breakdown of activities and milestones demonstrating an understanding of the projects' interdependencies and key participants, and identifying staffing needs for training, and implementation.

Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.Responsible for infrastructure architecture, design and implementation oversight of integration solutions in the areas of application integration (A2A), B2B and SOA.

Develop and present training for support personnel on new/enhanced system functions. Provide L3 SME expertise for Major Production incidents.

Qualification:

Minimum 10+ yrs experience in a Web operational or engineering role with hands-on technical experience as a Sr. Web administrator/engineer of Middleware technologies

Comprehensive understanding of the architecture and features of Web Servers and Web Application Servers

Experience of using best-of-breed Web monitoring and security tools, Windows 2008/2012 Administration and .NET Application Support on IIS 7.5 and IIS 8.0

Demonstrate good understanding of an engineering process/methodology, Load Balancing and Applications running in enterprise scale Web farm.

Experience with DNS/DHCP/SCCM/SCOM, Microsoft SQL/Oracle databases, Siteminder, SAML, Safeword authentication/authorization patterns and Powershell Scripting

Experience in creating the design of shared technical frameworks like deployment automation, and configuration automation.

Expertise in performance tuning of IIS based .NET applications.

Team management and leadership experience and prior COE experience is a plus.

Must have experience in participating in the management of multiple concurrent initiatives while relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Candidate needs to be highly client focused, highly motivated, and hard working. Ability to effectively work with a wide range of business units and technology groups.

Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to multitask and successfully execute complex technical problems.

Must be able to work in environment with challenging deadlines and across a large organization.
