Job Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The key accountabilities for this role include but are not restricted to:

Strategic Category Sourcing

Manage Contracts

Continuous Improvement

Define & execute category strategy

Define category risk assessment

Execute strategic sourcing initiatives with multifunctional teams (SMEs, Global and Regional Procurement)

Manage supplier relationship and develop collaborative initiatives

Validate and approve analysis of categories and market analysis

Develop and Maintain its related Category Card

Identify suppliers meeting business requirements

Negotiate with suppliers and select the best option

Review, sign and ensure implementation of negotiated contracts/POs

Resolve outstanding contract/PO issues and claims

Complete contract termination requests & submit for approval

Identify risks and develop category mitigation plans, select vendors and manage contract creation Request vendor or material data cleansing

Propose a Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

Escalate issues to Sourcing and Spot Buy Lead

3. BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

The creation of a new operating model will transform ABI Procurement Function towards a much higher

level of centralization at Regional level. This will require a high level of client satisfaction and efficiency at Regional level.

The Category Manager role is responsible to develop and manage its Category. This role is responsible since sourcing strategy until contract management. The Category Manager plays a very important role in order to drive continuous improvement to its Category.

4. SCOPE OF ROLE

The Category Manager is responsible for Strategic Sourcings of his Category in Regional, executing

sourgin initiatives with multifunctional teams, including Global and Regional Procurement (Front Office);

The Category Manager ensures contract management;

Responsible to develop and maintain its related Category Card;

Support continuous improvement in the Region. Responsible to identify risks and develop category mitigation plans.

6. QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Education

- University Degree or equivalent

- Ideally Green Belt

- Mandatory White Belt or Yellow Belt

Critical skills needed for success in this position:

A. Strong analytical skills

B. Hands-on procurement

C. Category management experience (at least 2 years)

D. Project-management skills

E. Basic knowledge of finance and accounting allowing the ability to run/read analysis of a

suppliers P&L and balance sheet

F. Communicating effectively by conveying information and ideas in English, in a clear, meaningful,

and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding; solicit inputs and provide

open candid conversations.

G. Developing collaborative relationships for the purpose of accomplishing work objectives;

developing relationships with other individuals by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating

others efforts.

H. Languages: English (and Local when applied) as the working language, other languages are an advantage.

I. Ability to conceptualize business impact focused analytics.

Preferred skills for this position:

A. Experience in FMCG / CPG industry

B. Understanding of sourcing and analytics tools such as Ariba, Emptoris, SAP MM/SRM, advanced MS Excel, MS Access, Database tools (SQL etc)

C. Basic knowledge on using e-sourcing tools
