Exposure should be profit center head head, Cost control, Project Planning/ execution, detail engineering , vendor development, Procurement, technolgy transfer, erection & commissioning of Plant, process technology establishment for manufacturing of TMT Rolling mill.
Strategy Planning/ Project Engineering: Monitoring projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, time over-runs, spares planning, knowledge management, quality compliance and manpower planning to ensure timely execution of projects. Minimizing performance bottlenecks for high productivity with maximization of men, material, cost & machine.
Operations & Maintenance: Planning and effecting predictive & preventive maintenance schedules for various equipment / lines to increase machine up time & equipment reliability. Implementing maintenance schedules and carrying out periodic checks to ensure performance of various equipment and maintaining requisite documents for the same. Identifying areas of obstruction / breakdowns and taking steps to rectify the equipment through application of troubleshooting tools.
Installation & Commissioning: Accountable for installation and commissioning of the heavy equipment; conducting tests & inspections to ensure operational effectiveness of plant & utilities. Reviewing engineering drawings, layouts, diagrams, technical specifications, cost estimates for erection & commissioning of the plant; carrying out overhauling work of equipment, modifications, and major repairs to improve equipment efficiency by faultfinding.
Process Enhancements: Implementing various techniques for cycle time / cost reduction, entailing identification of opportunities, analysis of data, conducting tests, cost benefit analysis and implementation. Identifying scope for:
Planning / implementing technological changes to enhance efficiency.
Modifications in equipments, process flow, working practices, consumables etc. for controlling & reducing conversion cost per unit produced.
Economic operation of reheating furnaces.
Documentation and implementation of EMS, QMS and OHSMS.
5S implementation, etc.
Man Management: Directing and leading the technical personnel. Imparting continuous on job training to the workforce for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness / efficiency. Working on talent pool and succession planning of the management cadre and workforce, appraising their KRA based performance and providing feedback on the same.
Computer usage for Performance monitoring: Developed periodical performance monitoring system through SAP/ERP/ Oracle with extensive use of computers at all levels.
