These are new roles created by the Rotary India Literacy Mission. It seeks experienced professionals to serve as their Head - Corporate Fundraising to be based in their Delhi and Mumbai office respectively. This position will provide focus on building partnerships with Corporate, Foundations and HNIs along with donor relationship management. H/She will primarily be responsible for mobilizing funds and other resources for the program. The incumbents will be providing the mission services (Policy Development, Portfolio management, other technical support) to various Corporates for revenue generation. These are key positions that will support their team members in India in raising resources. The role focuses on developing the partnerships and strategic engagement with Corporates in assigned geographies & sectors. The incumbents will lead the fundraising initiative to meet organizational targets, strategize corporate fundraising, implement it and build team and organizational capabilities towards desired goals.
Responsibilities & Results:
Corporate Donor Management:
Develop a comprehensive corporate donor management plan to ensure identification, nurturing and management of potential & current donors for the mission.
Fundraising Plan and Strategy:
Development and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy and plan from corporate sector. Incorporate apt monitoring, reviewing and tracking methodology within the plan.
Fund raising events:
Conceptualize, plan and execute effectively the fund raising events engaging the entire staff of the program.
Reporting & Monitoring:
Regular update, co-ordination and execution with the development and strategy team at the mission. Weekly / monthly updates on key accounts to the senior management team as agreed upon.
Responsible for development of communication material for external audience of the program including, partners, donors and media. Coordinate with their team abroad to ensure alignment and synergy in execution of collateral's.
Networking and Collaboration:
Proactively network and collaborate with a range of stakeholders including government, NGOs, Corporates and the communities to synergize broader development efforts, build relevant partnerships and enhance opportunities.
Develop and lead the process of conceptualizing and writing project proposals / concept notes and following up with the respective corporate.
Identifying relevant partners from the current universe as well identifying new partners and winning their confidence to be able to work together on new opportunities for program growth and innovation.
A post graduate, with minimum 8 to 9 years of extensive experience in raising funds from Corporates and Institutions (Trusts and Foundations)
Hands on experience of the broad selling process to Corporate, high net worth individuals (HNIs) or Key Accounts would be desirable.
Proven analytical skills and ability to think strategically in relation to fundraising.
Demonstrated experience at networking, negotiation and selling skills.
Someone who takes initiative to follow up as well as create new relationships so as to expand the existing network.
Strong communications skills including presentation, proposal and report writing. Experience of writing proposals and reports for the specific purpose of fund raising. Adroit in written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience of working in the not-for-profit or development sector, having demonstrated commitment to the sector.
