* The position involves overall responsibility for the marketing and sales functions of the
formulations marketing division of the organization.
* Marketing Functions responsibilities :
o Managing the marketing mix elements for the formulations business of the company.
o Management of the product management functions and directing the PMT to formulate
the product marketing strategies
o Controlling the implementation of the marketing & sales strategies by taking suitable
course corrections to attain the desired level of implementation
o Product pipe line development right from the market gap identification to
o Maintaining a proper Marketing information system with a fool proof feedback mechanism
and Sales force reporting controls.
o Attaining the marketing objectives for each of the brands launched by the organization.
* Sales Function responsibilities:
o Meeting the organizational Sales Objectives and targets.
o Training and deployment of the field force at all the assigned headquarters.
o Monitoring and controlling the sales achievement levels at all the levels of the field force.
o Ensuring the sanctioned field force is available and replenishing the vacancies to keep
the field structure as per the organizational requirement.
o Business Development for the Brands and management of KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders).
* Other Responsibilities :
o Preparation of short term & long term business plans.
o Market intelligence and market research for the existing and new brands to be launched
by the organization.
o Evaluation of new business opportunities and opportunities that arise for the organization.
o Overall responsibility of the profitability and viability of the marketing and sales
