Job Description


Job Title: Head of Marketing - South Asia
Department / Business Stream: Marketing and Stakeholder Relations Group
Location: Chennai, India
Reports to (job title): Regional Director


Working within the global marketing strategy, to develop and implement marketing strategy for (country/region) to enable the delivery of challenging targets in existing and new markets for a diverse range of customers.


Lead the development, management and delivery of marketing strategy and activities for (country/region) in line with Cambridge English Language Assessment's global marketing plan. Play a key part in delivery of income targets.

As part of the global digital marketing team, develop and implement an online marketing strategy for (country/region), with the objective of increasing the amount of visits to the website and social media pages. Plan and coordinate digital media marketing and market research across (country/region)

Manage the annual marketing budget efficiently. Set targets for and evaluate effectiveness of marketing campaigns and budget - making full use of CRM systems to improve effectiveness of marketing
Ensure the consistent application of the brand to increase profile in (country/region) while protecting the reputation.

Be responsible for market research and PR for (country/region) and the development and production of local materials, advertising pieces and articles for press releases

As part of the global marketing team, contribute to the formulation of Cambridge English Language Assessment's marketing strategy

Develop strong effective relationships with key stakeholders


Qualifications Educated to degree level Postgraduate qualification in marketing

Skills Excellent communication skills in English and (country/region language) Project management and organisational skills Strong marketing skills

Experience Substantial experience of marketing in (country/region) preferably in an education context

Experience of implementing multimedia marketing campaigns Some understanding of English language learning/teaching or assessment market

Behaviours Collaborative management style coupled with determination and tenacity Ability to network and develop strong, effective working relationships
