Job Description

Education Qualification:

o 10th & 12th - Minimum Marks above 85%
o Graduation above 70%
o CA above 60%
o MBA from the top 25 colleges

Candidates NOT fulfilling education qualification percentages mentioned herein cannot be considered

- Age Bracket : 42 to 48 years

- Experience: Out of the total experience required for the role 10 years has to be relevant experience in Indirect Taxation.

Candidate must be from an Industry & Organization
o Having Turnover above 1000 Crore
o Among Top 100 BSE Companies

Candidates who are handling ONLY Indirect Tax will be considered.

Provide leadership and personally supervise the work relating to proper application of relevant indirect tax laws, ensuring tax optimization, expeditious refunds and minimizing interest and penal costs
Guide the transformation of the present regime to the impending GST by re-engineering of existing processes and IT systems
Review all statutory compliance parameters under Indirect Tax and ensure that same are compiled to and accurately reported
Build and maintain sound professional relationships with key external stakeholders, including Govt. officials, for creating better perception of potential disputes or issues and resolving them in a positive spirit
Study key changes in the relevant tax environment from time-to-time and their impact on business, apprising key personnel of such anticipated challenges and suggesting timely strategies to meet such challenges
Timely and correct availment as well as utilization of tax credits
Promote organization's policies, programmes and ethos in a spirit of cooperation with officials of other wings across segment/ business and sites
Coordinate visits by external agencies to site by way of audit, enforcement or other fact finding controls ensuring a balanced and mature approach with due compliance with laws
Training, development and succession planning.

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

Strong Indirect Tax and Accounting experience preferably in large-sized multiple-location manufacturing service entities, preferably telecom
Ability to lead a large team in a complex environment.
Working knowledge of State VAT
Working knowledge of business transformation in IT-driven environment

Key Attributes (Years of Experience and Qualifications required)
MBA / CA with over 20 years of leadership experience in Indirect Tax functions of large conglomerates service organizations operating in an automated environment.
Should have the ability to interact and build constructive relationship with various stake holders
