Job Description

This position is accountable for the financial and risk management operations of the company. The responsibilities include the creation and development of a financial strategy for the organization and on-going monitoring of control systems designed to safeguard company assets and also report accurate financial results for the company. The Procurement, Administration & Legal and Secretarial functions also report into this role. This is a critical role in the organization's growth plan and hence needs an entrepreneurial mindset.

Location: Mumbai (Western Suburbs)

Qualifications & Experience:

The desired candidate:

Should be a Chartered Accountant
Should have post qualification experience of 12-15 years
Should have independently handled the F&A function with a team of atleast 8-10 people
Should preferably have an IT services industry background
Should have good business acumen
Should have a high level of written and oral communication skills
Should have experience in partnering with an executive team

Roles & Responsibilities

Heading & Managing the entire gamut of financial, commercial and accounting activities
Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies including foreign subsidiaries
Be a key member of the M&A Leadership Team and work closely for Identifying target companies, evaluation of the same and due diligence to ensure a successful completion of the transaction..
Business Planning and budgeting for effective financial management of the organization, to achieve its corporate objectives
Jointly formulate staff / business policies/ procedures with other stake holders which involve financial / monetary impact on the organization
Ensure corporate governance norms are complied by various stakeholders in the organization
Exercise budgetary control and manage working capital
Supervising the preparation of statutory, management accounts
Ensuring timely assessment and filing of corporate direct and indirect tax returns and compliance
Liaison with commercial banks for fund and non-fund based limits
Compliance with Company Law / Rules, FEMA, RBI guidelines applicable to Public Limited Company
Commercials for bids and pricing for services and solutions
Prepare and analyze monthly Profit and Loss statement by Business Units, Projects, Legal entity and share the conclusions from such analysis with CEO / Business Unit Heads
To plan, prepare and review the annual financial budget and periodical updates of forecasts
Develop and implement accounting procedures and policies ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and to the IND-AS
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and take appropriate actions based on the forecast
Prepare timely monthly / quarterly financial reports for submission to the Board of Directors as well as for statutory reporting
Design, implement and maintain internal controls to minimize risks and as recommended by external auditors
Handle company tax issues and liaison with tax agents and/or authorities
Liaison with external auditors for the annual audit and internal auditors for management audit.
Oversee corporate secretarial matters, conduct of meeting of Board of Directors and sub committees thereof and related compliance.
Vetting of legal contracts / legal correspondence / legal response to civil / criminal claims and or actions against the company
Oversee, manage and control the administration & procurement function of the organization and ensure the defined processed and procedures for procurement are complied with within the organization
