Head, Emerging Businesses
The Head of Emerging Businesses will be a highly analytical, creative and passionate business professional who has spent 12+ years honing ability in the art and craft of managing business in a consumer organization, and is now ready to break the rules.
We are looking for somebody who challenges conventions and is not afraid to take risks. The person will be responsible for managing revenue growth across current & new business lines, while ensuring reliable delivery on promise & delight.
1. Lead a team of restless change agents, manically focused on delivering disruptive growth in new markets, products and services.
2. Expand the revenue base of shaadi.com across existing emerging business lines, using innovation and institutionalization of best practices to deliver scalable revenue growth.
3. Identify new business opportunities and build operations, to grow them from infancy into mature consumer propositions.
4. Drive alignment on functional goals across key stakeholders, while collaborating with teams across the organization.
5. Architect and institutionalize programs into self-managed operations, which can be preserved as the businesses grow to maturity.
6. Identify opportunities for delivering "share-worthy" consumer delight, as a foundation for long term business health.
1. Education: MBA from a Reputed Institution
2. Professional Experience: Minimum 12 years, of which at least 4 must have strong overlaps with consumer Internet/mobile
3. Analytical & Problem Solving skills: Extremely strong
4. Demonstrated track record of generating value through disruption & institutionalization of the same
Good to have
1. Consumer Service (e.g. Travel) experience
2. Well-networked with ability to identify right-sized solutions to marketing problems
3. Experience in dynamic & fluid work environments
