Candidate will be required to play a leadership role and handle a team of professionals.
The responsibilities will include accounting and taxation of the retail portfolio of the bank.
Needs to be abreast of the recent changes in Accounting and Taxation guidelines impacting the relevant business line of the bank.
Ability to influence significant stakeholders in other verticals, impacting the Retail accounting function.
Ability to mentor the team and nurture and groom young talented professionals.
Act as a sounding board to reflect the teams views to the next level of management.
Ability to drive across views in challenging situations.
Ensure that timelines are met in respect of Accounts closing and regulatory and taxation guidelines.
Ability to multitask and work with short deadlines.
Must possess an eye for detail.
On an ongoing and ad-hoc basis, will be asked to lead and drive projects that may require collaboration with other central teams and operating teams.
Ensure Implementation of Sox Controls, Evidencing and Submissions as required for the job performed.
Operating in a complex system environment, will be required to bring innovative ideas to streamline manual process and drive efficient processes.
