Job Description

The Position:

As a key member of the senior management team, the General Manager - HR would be part of the Management Committee of Hyderabad Business. The incumbent would report into the Chief People Officer of ACT group but would head the HR for Hyderabad Business. Needless to say, this is a critical position in the growth journey of ACT. The GM HR will be responsible for end to end HR and will also play a consultative role to the COO on people matters especially Leadership Development. He/she will also interact very closely with the other functional heads. The key challenge will be to bring HR to the expected level and integrate with the group.
The successful candidate will have a full complement of leadership competencies as well as a proven ability in the following areas:

  1. Business Partnership and Leadership
  2.  Organization development with a huge focus on culture building
  3.  Change management interventions on structure, policies and processes
  4.  Manpower planning & Recruitment
  5.  Driving Employee Engagement via planned interventions
  6.  Taking up the capability table of the organization in terms of relevant learning needs - addressing current as well as future need gaps
  7.  Instituting an HR excellence model in the area of HR operations
Essential Attributes:

1. Ability to connect with the business and interpret the needs into HR solutions
2. Ability to lead diverse teams with diverse culture; especially an environment that is transitioning from an entrepreneurial set up to a professional one

Preferred background:

1. Should be an MBA/MSW from premier B-School with min 10+ years of experience in core domain.
2. Preferably should have worked in organizations that are high on operations
3. Sound knowledge and experience in Developmental HR
