1. General Management
Manage the day-to-day operations of the various departments within the company including sales/marketing, accounting and finance, procurement, warehouse and stores and security. This includes implementing company strategy in liaison with the Directors of the company and establishing company-wide policies for efficient performance of all staff.
2. Business Development / Marketing / Inquiry management / client management
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the business development team to expand the business opportunities within the NCR region and beyond. He will also be tasked with generating new leads and motivating the team to break into new regions.
3. Contract Management and Negotiations
The candidate should have strong knowledge of contractual terms prevalent in the industry to reduce risk of material loss or collections issues. The candidate should also be adept at negotiating favorable lease/hire rates for the company keeping in mind the rates prevalent in the market and among competitors.
4. Stock Management and Yard Management
The candidate should be aware of and subsequently implement best practices for yard and stock management to minimize idling and manage the workforce to maintain stock in the best condition.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in all challenges of addressing aging of collections and outstanding receivables be it through amicable or legal proceedings. The candidate should run a tight ship in motivating the team to streamline Accounts Receivables for timely receipts.
6. Company policies and Reporting
A strong candidate would implement company-wide best practices and policies for HR, Accounting, Health and Safety, Security of yard/equipment/staff, material repair and purchases/expenses. The General Manager will be tasked with setting up a robust system of reporting within the divisions of the company along with reporting to the Directors of the company on a periodic basis.
Although no strong technical knowledge is mandatory, the candidate should have an engineering background or enough experience to understand the nature of the business, in general.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Associate degree in Engineering or any related field.
Min 8 years' experience in scaffolding or related industry such as construction/building materials/equipment
Some Knowledge and experience in Quality Control
Good Computer Skills and Communication Skills
Leadership, Motivation and interpersonal skills.
