Job Description

Purpose of the position:

The AVP, Human Resources in Company would be leading and influencing the delivery of HR operational activities, and maintains a strong knowledge of HR Operational best practices. HR Operational activities include: Leads and provides HR reporting and analytics across all HR functions (including the delivery of all HR Dashboards), responsible for the overall maintenance and quality of the of HR Portal, all document management processes, HR Information Systems, HR Project Management Office, Vendor Management, Continuous Improvement, HR budgets, and all Service Management activities (including measurement of SLAs and OLAs).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up of an organizational level shared services for managing multiple functions like HR, Finance, Marketing, C&B, recruitment, training, Compliance, Quality and IT.
You would be responsible for high standards of service delivery, compliance for entire employee life cycle processes Hire to Retire.
Envisions, directs, and is accountable for the consistent delivery of HR operations across the shared service model. Responsible for HR operational strategies, HR financial management and budgets, employee relationship management.
Responsible for creating all service standards metrics and ensuring all service standards are monitored and inappropriate levels are handled consistently and fairly throughout the HR.
Also responsible for identifying and effecting continuous improvement and service delivery excellence opportunities throughout the operations functions by identifying and adopting best practices.
Provides leadership, direction, coaching, feedback, and, where appropriate, discipline to and through subordinate team members. Serves as a role model for high quality customer service; ensures that the needs and expectations of all customers are consistently met or exceeded.

Core competencies:

Should be very strong in systems and processes.
Must have driven change in previous organization, from setting up delivery support team to executing new processes.
Should be able to add value to organization in terms of simplifying the process and benchmarking the process in the industry.
Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
Developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget. Experience presenting and reporting on project plans and cost benefit analyses to appropriate stakeholders, executives and senior management.
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
Should be employee driven

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience applying financial acumen to business
Lean Six Sigma / Process improvement experience. Experience working in organizations with ERP technologies
At least 10 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets. Has experience in directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.


Masters Degree / MBA with 10years experience in two or more of the following Human Resources areas of concentration: HR Generalist, talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance, learning and professional development, compensation and benefits and/or HR data and systems.
