Job Description

Job Purpose:

The person will be responsible for the overall finance management of the Shared Service Centre. The individual will be responsible for effective functioning of all Finance activities including Book of Accounts, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and filing it with the Registrar Of Companies. The individual will play a key role in building and strengthening the working relationship with regulators, bankers and auditors and will need to ensure that all financial activities are compliant with the statuary audit requirements. He/she will also be responsible for planning, budgeting and forecasting for the organization. The position also calls for a high degree of participation in the business MIS, planning, decision making and execution of the company's strategic plan and operations.

1.Strategic Partnering:

Advice the Head of Shared Services and other executives on the financial implications and risks related to key issues and important strategic decisions
Keeping the key stakeholders (Head of Shared Services, executive leadership etc.) posted on the ongoing financial condition of the organization.

2. Financial Management:

Lead and drive all aspects of effective financial management for the company, and optimizing the use of capital.
Responsible for effective functioning of all Finance activities including Book of Accounts, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and filing it with the Registrar Of Companies.
Ensure that all regulatory reporting and compliance obligations are met in a timely manner.
Ensure that all financial activities are compliant with the statuary audit requirements and will ensure that all payments and customer collections are completed as per the agreed norms.
Handling tax litigations and overseeing all direct and indirect tax implications on business.
Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Executive Director and Treasurer and/or Finance Committee
Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors;

3. Stakeholder Management:

Maintain strong relationships by sharing appropriate financial information on a regular basis.
Build and enhance credibility of Group by directing the timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, financial trends and dissemination of financial data to appropriate channels.
Play a key role in building and strengthening the working relationship with regulators, bankers and auditors.

4. People management :

Carry out people management responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

MANDATORY:

Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary
A proven track record of leading the finance function of the organization for a service delivery organization.
