Skills:-

Primary Skills: Qualified Accountant with fluency in German Language

Secondary Skills: Experience in Finance & Accounts & IFRS

Role Purpose:-

The Reporting & Statutory Accounting Manager role is part of the R2R COE Team committed to be world class accounting trusted advisors for the variety of markets we support. This position supports all aspects of the statutory close process, helps drive process improvement and accuracy of financial reporting and ensures the integrity of our balance sheet. A successful candidate is a person with strong technical accounting, collaboration and project management skills. The role requires the ability to understand the big picture as well as have an outstanding attention to the underlying details.

Key accountabilities (Role Description):

Prepare Financial Statements Creating core Statutory Statements including the first draft of the required commentaries/Financial and Directors Report

Take lead role for coordinating the year end audit

Support LOM on interim and y/e certification call/requirements

Ensure IFRS compliance

Building knowledge of and staying up to date with

o local statutory requirements

o Support tax department queries

o Support SOX process and control reviews

o Support LOM regulatory requests for information

Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis to a high standard. Perform monthly review and identify key risks and opportunities.

Ensure SOX controls are maintained, including formal annual sign-off.

Ensure adherence to UK and Group accounting policies and review/update specific policies on timely basis.

Work to support the SSC to ensure they are compliant with all controls.

Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders, own and proactively manage key relationships with partners.

Manage the day to day relationship with the key stakeholders.

Ensure all SLAs of the SSC are adhered to.

Contribute to the strategic direction and leadership of market Finance Operations team.

Ensure effective team structure is maintained with clear roles and accountabilities.

Complete PDs including setting objectives and agreeing personal development plans on timely basis.

Coach and develop team members on an on-going basis.

Proactively manage resources and provide ad-hoc support to team.

Integral to the preparation of actuals information for benchmarking activities.

Promote continuous process improvement culture.

Promote a continuous process improvement culture within the reporting and statutory team.

Identify and drive key process improvements within own team and across wider functions including the SSC.

Deliver to agreed project deadlines including appropriate level of planning/integration.
