The Entity Controller is based out of the Honeywell Global Finance Center in Bangalore and will report to the COE Controller. The primary responsibilities will be to work with respective global stakeholders and deliver US GAAP compliant entity financial statements for internal / external reporting. He / She will also participate actively in supporting the Finance functional transformation initiatives. Detailed job requirements are given below.
Responsible for accounting compliance for multiple legal entities including ensuring timely and accurate month close, Balance Sheet reviews and internal and external audit support, SOx assessments, and work towards redressing gaps in a timely manner. Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement standard processes, delivery systems & metrics.
Maintain transparent accounting practices and procedures and develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to Business & Commercial Finance, other COE Controllership teams, internal and external auditors. Also partner with functional counterparts to identify & deploy opportunities for best practice sharing.
Engage with key stakeholders to support and adhere to specific compliance processes including statutory filings, VAT & Tax related workings, tax structure changes and statutory reporting needs.
Responsible for supporting & executing a smooth transition & stabilization of controllership work from identified locations into the HGFC and ensure business operations impacts are minimized.
Be a quick learner and an effective people manager with coaching, mentoring, team building & motivation skills to build and manage a robust team.
Partner with Honeywell finance operations team to review and drive the deliverables of the BPO teams for the legal entities supported.
Ensure robust controls for transaction processing, accounting process and close activities, and compliance reporting
Implementation & sharing of best practices
Ensure high quality and accurate balance sheet reconciliations for review
Participate in monthly and quarterly operating reviews processes
Identify, diagnose, articulate issues and propose and deploy potential resolutions.
Partnering with Corporate Controller organization
Support the implementation of Treasury, Tax and Policy initiatives
Ensure consistent and accurate application of accounting policies across the organization
Identify and propose accounting policy efficiency opportunities
Qualifications & Experience:
CA/ CPA with a 6 to 9 years of strong operational and managerial experience related to accounting, financial reporting, business finance & analysis, out of which at least 3 years should core domain exposure to Controllership and Accounting at middle / senior level. Experience of handling financial statements of multi-national companies from captive services environment and with transition experience will be an added advantage.
Hands on knowledge of SAP and Hyperion (HFM) is highly desirable. Exposure to tools and processes related to account reconciliations, SOx assessments etc will be added advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with ability to quickly and positively influence stakeholders at different levels in the organization.
Ability to work with Multiple stakeholders
Thorough understanding of US GAAP and Accounting policy
Excellent business acumen including company, legal entity, regulatory & compliance related understanding.
Have a process bias along with business sensitivity and also have ability to manage & drive BPO organization to achieve timely completion of goals.
Ability to simplify complex issues; results focused with successful record of accomplishments through skilled use of persuasion and problem resolution.
Ability to multi-task, assess priorities, and drive performance in a complex and demanding, highly matrixed environment.
Requires excellent tolerance for ambiguity and must have excellent teaming integration skills.
