Job Description



This position is responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies which optimize the total cost of ownership (TCO) for materials and equipments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Describes the activities that are performed in the specific area of responsibility"


1 Develop Procurement Strategy "Take immediate steps to plan out procurement strategy in line with expansion plans
Develops and implements business redesign and process improvement strategies that support optimization of the TCO.
Responsible for the development and implementation of vendor performance metrics and ongoing vendor review.
Develops strategies and policies to mitigate the risk associated with Supply Chain decisions.
Develop Vendor Relationships and ensure economies of scale in procurement"


2 Oversee activities of procurement function "Assists in the specification, evaluation, purchasing and inspection of major administrative, estate, direct and indirect, computer software,hardware, lease rentals, mechanical equipment and systems
Ensures the implementation of standard processes and sourcing tools, on line systems, e commerce, e procurement, bidding, tendering processes, to enhance efficiencies within procurement. Builds Procuremen systems and processes and identifies effective methods to save costs. Develops and implements procurement sourcing strategies, policies and processes that promote the procurement of materials and services at the most competitive costs. Develop and Document Procurement Processes specific to the firm"


3 People Management "Recruit and build capable procurement team and skill base
Assess training requirements of his team and incorporate in training calendar
Undertake succession planning for procurement team"
