Job Description


  • The Director of IT will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, advising business leaders on direction and trade offs that are influenced by choices we make in technologies and infrastructure. 
  • They will own the implementation of the infrastructure and the methods/processes necessary to deliver and grow the business. 
  • The successful candidate will have experience managing real-time, high volume, high availability applications deployed in a hybrid model, utilizing both owned & operated co-located hardware.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage teams of systems, network, and operations engineers to design, deliver, and maintain the client's product suite
  • Demonstrate technical leadership including mentoring managers and engineers in industry-leading practices such as Development and Operations, as well as participating in occasional hands-on implementation as needed
  • Manage the 24x7 support functions for all production systems and applications, including defining standards for operational software development and monitoring
  • Manage the 24x7 operation of the corporate network and infrastructure
  • Define security processes and procedures covering corporate and network operations
  • Define processes and best practices for managing the corporate computing resources for a growing employee base
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, and evaluate and manage risks for critical , while supervising work products from engineers
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, covering the infrastructure and software for our production applications as well as our corporate resources
  • Manage service provider relationships and contracts, establishing favorable pricing and terms
  • Define and execute strategic technology initiatives for systems and networking infrastructure 

Required Skills
  • Ability to design and implement high volume real-time large scale networks of systems, including load balancers, firewalls, routers, switches, etc.
  • Ability to provide scalable computing services while maintaining fiscal responsibility
  • Ability to manage and negotiate vendor contracts

Education/ Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with background in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 15 years experience working with Large-scale computing and network environments
  • Minimum 6 years experience as a leader of other leaders
