Job Description

We are currently seeking a Director, Hospital Care Marketing, responsible for the direction and implementation of marketing programs pertaining to the hospital markets (eg. Integrated Delivery Networks) within the Hospital Care Division. Impacts the organization by providing strategic direction for and promotion of key product groups across targeted classes of trade. Decisions directly impact customer satisfaction levels and sales force focus and direction. Advises, assists, and supports Product Marketing counterparts in an effort to maximize sales and profit within the various Hospital Care marketplaces.

Designs and implements short and long term product group(s)/division marketing strategy.

Directs all Marketing activities related to new product development and quality; promotional activities, development of annual revenue and forecasts, product group pricing strategies, and execution of new product launch activities

Supervises and directs activities of subordinates; coaches, provides ongoing formal and informal performance evaluations, develops and implements a career development program.

Directs the development of both internal and external communication programs, i.e. sales bulletins, voicemails, newsletters, corporate identity.

Evaluates and negotiates (as appropriate) new technologies, strategic alliances and co-marketing agreements.

Maintains an active field travel schedule to regularly meet with key customers, sales personnel, vendors, and consultants.

Establishes and directs R&D priority list ensuring Hospital Care Division needs are met.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a B. S. degree with eight or more years of professional marketing experience at a group level within the Healthcare industry. Candidates should also possess the following experience; Medical/pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing medical device or pharmaceutical products, new product development/product launch, plus personnel management experience and a thorough understanding of U.S. hospital markets.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, advanced Excel and analysis capabilities required.
