Job Description

The Role is for the Head Treasury function for one of the powerhouses in the retail sector.

The profile is reporting into Director Corporate Finance.

SBU / Function: Corporate Finance

Fund / Forex Risk Management:

Arrange for short term / long term lines of borrowings for Group companies at lowest possible cost
Directs and develops strategies associated with ongoing re-engineering of financial operations
Assist in managing the company's credit facilities (Revolver and term loans)
Minimize the risk on account of foreign exchange rate fluctuations
Monitor global cash balances and manage effective repatriation of excess cash
Support in execution of foreign exchange transactions and management of hedging programs

Compliance / Credit Rating:

Ensure timely adherence to RBI related compliance's
Ensure that all treasury functions are carried out within the defined guidelines and policies
Regularly update investment policies, and monitor compliance with the updated policies
Ensure that the Group borrowings has the best credit rating
Responsible for filing quarterly short-term issuance reports with the rating agencies

Banking / Investment:

Responsible for Company's Bank relationships, i.e., negotiations on pricing, bank services purchased, review of new banking cash management products and bank agreements. Manage the overall budget for bank fees
Ensure that there are no idle funds and get best returns for surplus funds ensuring minimum risk to Group business.

Management Reporting:

Timely reporting of all function related MIS by Performing month-end and quarterly-end treasury-related close functions
Adhere to Indian accounting standards for Financial Instruments: Disclosure, Recognition and Measurement definitions in accounting reports

Cash Flow Monitoring:

Management of consolidated cash resources by governing Daily decisions on cash requirements through cash accounting, electronic funds movements and letters of credit
Develops and maintains forecast models necessary to support short-term and intermediate cash flows
Enhance domestic and international cash flow forecasting process

Key Challenges:

Estimation of the business needs in advance and arranging suitable structure of borrowing
To address the Rating deterrents and highlight the key strengths
To keep the flexibility to invest as per market dynamics
Adopt to the markets / RBI policy guideline
Changes in internal policies as per external requirements
Keeping tracking and adopting to new statutory guidelines namely RBI
Regular meeting and to ensure relationship at all levels in the bank
Timely MIS reporting
Understanding the business cash flow
Negotiation of charges with banks

Candidate Profile:

Minimum Qualifications: Chartered Accountancy / MBA (Finance)
Preferred/Additional Qualifications: Treasury certifications
Minimum Experience: 10-15 years
Relevant/Additional Experience: Spectrum of Banking Relationship
Size of the treasury handled in terms of Forex/ borrowing
Knowledge of the Treasury products
Size of Treasury team supervised

Industry preference: FMCG, Consumer Goods, large conglomerates
