To target and develop relationships with identified Truck fleets and dealers promoting the features and benefits of the companys Truck products which will result in Truck OEMs specifying the Companys Truck product in order to satisfy the generated needs (pull through) of these fleets and dealers.
Develop and implement a business plan which identifies and focuses on pull through activities which will drive sales through Truck OEMs through either maximizing existing or building new business opportunities.
Monitor market conditions, requirements and activities with Truck customers, fleets, dealers, and competitors and gather information relevant to growing the Truck OEM business segment.
Identify opportunities to propose new business and renew existing supply contracts through contacts with Truck OEMs (purchasing, engineering, product planning, qualify control, manufacturing, marketing, etc.) personnel.
Review, assess and recommend product development and marketing strategies that will enhance business opportunities with Truck OEM accounts.
Develop and maintain companys market profile and brand as a reliable supplier of quality products and services to Truck OEMs.
Ensure all current and potential customers are supported, developed, maintained and are aware of all the Company products.
Develop a Sales Plan which lists monthly and weekly call targets and agendas.
Achieve monthly sales targets and monitor progress towards such.
Prepare Requests for Quotes and takes a leading role in negotiations and contract finalization for all new and existing business opportunities.
Plays a key liaison role in the project management and co-ordination of new product introduction activities.
Ensures that Plants Engineering process is properly represented in OEMs new product planning and development activities.
Prepare and distribute relevant sales & market reports and statistics, including market share at major OEMs.
Provides inputs for sales forecasting process including sales forecast by OEM, production line rates, product mix, plant shutdowns, etc.
Maintain awareness of the companys product offerings (design considerations, performance specifications, product applications, manufacturing processes, etc.) and of the marketplace (competitors products, competitive advantages, pricing, market trends, pricing, etc.),
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures they are communicated and implemented.
Ideal candidate is an Engineering graduate / or MBA will be highly preferred.
Should have excellent knowledge in the local heavy truck industry.
Proven background in selling technical product including the ability to sell at all levels in a professional manner.
Hands on experience in implementation and maintenance of comprehensive sales strategies and programs to maximize pull through sales and market penetration to develop and grow Truck market share.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Good negotiation and networking skills and an ability to develop relationships with key external and internal customers.
