Job Description

As a Compliance Subject Matter Expert, the incumbent will be responsible for developing the Compliance Universe for countries in which the firm's clients operate and translating that understanding into robust delivery processes. The role involves significant technical research. The incumbent will work closely with clients to understand their business and operating model in each country, and act as the Client Service Manager for multiple clients. He will have to stay up to date with the changes in legislation and compliance requirements in the respective countries.

The detailed job description for this role is as follows -

Incumbent will be responsible for the following:

Statutory compliance requirements of different countries
GST / VAT in different countries
Income tax laws of different countries
Corporate compliances (Secretarial)
Nature of services rendered by Professional firms in different countries with respect to local compliances
Setting up new process
Preparation of Compliance Universe for Client companies in different countries
Concept and design for setting up new process to implement compliance activities
Preparing detailed process maps / manuals after understanding client circumstances and compliance universe relevant for the Client company
Process Migrations
Stabilizing and monitoring the process

Training team members on the technical aspects of compliance and how to deliver the compliance on an ongoing basis

Project Management during set up phase, and on an on going basis for multiple clients
Oversee deliverables
Process efficiency
Supervise team
Liaison with client
Reporting To Manager

Incumbent is expected to have following skill set:
Should have a very good understanding and working experience of Indian and / or other countries Income Tax, Indirect (VAT / GST / Consumption tax etc.) tax Law and statutory compliances.
Should be able to independently carry out research on aspects/issues arising on Income Tax, Corporate taxes, GST / VAT, Company law, etc.
Should be able to convert legal requirements into checklist for compliances
Should have good drafting skills
Should have good communication skills, both oral and written
Good interpersonal skills ability to develop relationships, issue resolution, dealing with escalations
Should be a self starter
