The DGM - technical is responsible for managing large projects in coordination with multiple functional organizations, clients/vendors, other team members and suppliers to maintain appropriate projects' progress, &performance within the planned time, budget and required quality. Provide support to project management team. He Plans and determines the staffing requirements and assign personnel/labor to projects as required. Provide the principal contact point for with all clients/contractors/vendors through the project life cycle.
Supervises all activities of the Technical Department, Develops Project Management operations as well develop the yearly Company's budget
Develops project budgeting, accounting, and schedules. Establishes proper control and reporting mechanisms to execute and manage each contract effectively.
Responsible for end-to-end project execution by internal resources &sub-contractors/vendors. This includes managing the activities as necessary with all involved organizations to insure that the contract terms are met according to the contractual requirements in a timely manner, within budget and specified quality.
Manages, supervises and provides supporting for the Project &supervisory Engineers.
Determines performance measures of the Project engineers & supervisors and promotes a competitive professional environment.
Follows-up on the ongoing projects, through physical sites visits and perform progress reports to the senior management
Prepares recommendations and suggestions for the executive management, and provides direct consolidated support for any assignments related to projects' execution management.
Prepares monthly status reports for the top management for all projects.
Responsible for the overall company's financial integrity. Assists in making decisions regarding contract deliverables versus operating margins of the company.
Ensures that strategic plans are aligned with common goals and objectives.
Provides continual coaching, and mentoring to the project managers/site supervisors once the project management process and procedures are implemented.
Coordinates between all involved parties within one project.
Develops and manages centralized document controls system for company projects,
Review works on site against contractual agreements, specifications and scope of works. And in case of changes, he is responsible to issue, review and approve variation orders to claim extra costs,
Raise and follow up claims' for the company,
Performs any other tasks requested by Managing Director and upper management,
Ensures ability to execute the contractual scope of work by analyzing resources, human and quantity, requirements and ensures equipment, materials, engineering are capable of meeting the contractual schedule.
Responsible to Develop & derive the overall company's Business Plan with strict Profit Targets.
Knowledge, Experience and Competencies:
Management/supervisory experience in Project Management, Customer Service, Contractor, and Vendor negotiation.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Master in Engineering is a Plus.
At least 10 years-experiences in managing construction projects or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Well -- oral and written communication skills.
